 FT1000
 Test Bench Component

SPEA’s FT1000 series is a new range of modular testers designed for simple, flexible and cost-effective testing of electronic products. The FT1000 series comprises the hardware and software components needed to set up functional benches. Available in card and 19” rack form, the components can be bought to assemble a customised functional bench programmable using any language which works in a Windows environment (tm). 

The FT1000 range of instruments includes: signal or power generators, measuring units, I/O ports, active and passive loads, signal and power relay matrices. The instruments in this catalog are unique on the programmable instruments market because they are designed specifically for production purposes rather then for test laboratories. For this reason both the hardware and software can carry out fast, reliable tests on analog, digital or power products, including equipment supplied from the mains.

The FT1000 products can be programmed using any Microsoft Windows based language such as Visual Basic, C++, LabView and LabWindows CVI. The instruments are available in EURO format to be entered in the special chassis for 12/20 place instruments and 19" racks, which contain the medium and high power instruments. The FT1000 series includes containers for sturdy, functional, low-cost support for the instruments.

Description of the application:
The application employees functional testing a family of DC/DC converters whose input - output characteristics depend on the model. One only test program is required to select the various product codes previously introduced in the provided database. The test adapter has been designed to ensure the utmost precision in measuring the output voltages.

Application Examples 2

Application field: refrigerator motor controller
Application: electrical households
System: FT1000
 

Description of the application:
This application performs functional testing on a family of central stations of refrigerator motors with different configurations. Only one test program is used to select the product code to be tested between those introduced in the provided database. Since the test employs high voltages, the test adapter is designed to ensure the safety of the operator during the test. The application uses the real UUT loads mounted on a provided metal plane, covered by a protection grating. The tested UUTs with positive result are marked.  

Adapter technical characteristics:
- Adapter with four independent test positions 
- UUT contacting through bed of nails 
- UUT transparent Plexiglas cover 
- UUT objectification through cut markers 
- Test program development in Visual Basic

Application field: Dishwashing machine timer
Application: Electrical households

Description of the application:
The application performs functional testing on a family of timers for dishwashing machines, with different configurations. One test program allows selecting the product codes between those introduced in the provided database. Since the employment of high voltages, the test adapter is designed in order to ensure the safety of the operator during the test. The application employs the real UUT loads located in a provided container.    

Technical characteristics of the application:
- Adapter with single test position 
- UUT contacting through connectors and clamps 
- Pushbuttons activation through independent pneumatic pistons 
- UUT cover in transparent Plexiglas 
- Microphonic device to record the sound of the buzzer mounted on the UUT 
- Test program developed in Visual Basic
