Leonardo Express is the new system’s operating system for the SPEA flying probe and bed-of-nails testers. It is especially designed for non-expert users, to quickly generate a test program also for complex boards with thousands of nets.
The test program generation requires only a few simple and intuitive settings, that can be done by anyone. All the steps – CAD import and elaboration, testability and accessibility analysis, test program generation – are implemented in a guided procedure with the same instrument set, that is integrated in a graphic interface minimizing the learning curve and the time required for Test Program Development + Debug. Friendly menus, customizable toolbars and online help make Leonardo Express extremely easy-to-use.
The generated program is able to detect, quickly and accurately, all the defects which typically occur in the board producti on process, such as malfuncti oning or missing components, assembly faults, faulty or missing soldiering (open pins), short circuits. It is then possible to integrate the test program with specifi c tests through simple guided operati ons, in order to enhance the test coverage.
