ELECTRONIC
BOARD TEST

As one tester may replace six ones

SPEA Multi-core Tester architecture allows you to replace up to six competitor testers. SPEA testers are designed to make the cost of production test as low as possible, while guaranteeing that all products leave the factory with no defects. A PCBA tested with SPEA will get no errors at final functional test, then will work perfectly, with no risk of return from field.

HIGH VOLUME
PRODUCTION TEST

HIGH VOLUME PRODUCTION TEST

Electronics manufacturers must ensure the highest quality and reliability of their product, while remaining highly cost competitive. Every device must be thoroughly tested, in the shortest time.

SPEA testers are designed to meet cost and quality requirements in high-volume production test. Multi-core architecture (with real parallel test of 4 boards simultaneously with 3030 In Circuit Tester), fast instrumentation, operatorless working with integrated inline handling, are just a few of the key factors that make the biggest electronics manufacturers choose SPEA to test all their products. Even when they are millions. Especially then.

PROTOTYPE & NPI TEST

PROTOTYPE & NPI TEST

When the first prototype of an electronic board is created, the best way to check the goodness of the design process is to thoroughly test it.

Most of the design mistakes and lacks can be detected by developing a test program and run it on the board. SPEA flying probe testers represent the fastest way to verify the prototype integrity: the test program generation is fast, as well as test execution is, and diagnostics is accurate at single component level.

Flying probe test program can then be used for pre-series and NPI test, for which it is not economically favorable to build a bed-of-nails in-circuit fixture, due to the frequent layout changes. SPEA’s flying probers are equipped with an extremely easy-to-use software, that allows for a fast and simple ECO management.

FLYING PROBE TEST

FLYING PROBE TEST

SPEA Flying Probe Series is designed to cover the widest range of test requirements for electronic boards.

High mechanical speed, single or dual-sided probing, extreme accuracy, automatic board loading, overall configurability and fast set-up changes: SPEA flying probe performances and flexibility give you all you need to adaptably answer your production needs.

REPAIR TEST

REPAIR TEST

Electronic board repair requires deep know-how, and long time. On a complex product, an expert repair engineer can employ hours to find the failure(s), then repair it.

To help repair centers in their daily job, SPEA has created dedicated solutions, based on flying probe systems. The automatic and precise identification of the faulty part(s), with component-level diagnostic report, minimizes the effort to repair, and the expertise and time required.

IN-CIRCUIT TEST

IN-CIRCUIT TEST

SPEA board testers can test each component assembled on the board, recognizing defective components, detecting process defects (such as open pins or short circuits), identifying components that perform out of their specifications and also “weak” components that are close to their end of life.

This results in a lot of advantages for electronic board productions: no error at final functional test (when it would be harder to identify the failure), minimized effort to repair, elimination of field returns.
